!! Clash of the Carolinas Series Rules !!
IN ADDITION TO ALL GENERAL AND SAFETY RULES - THE FOLLOWING CLASS RULES WILL APPLY.
Class 5 (4&6 cylinder) For Clash of the Carolinas Series ONLY!!
- Body must remain manufacturer recognizable..
- Maximum wheel base 150".
- Must have a firewall between driver and motor.
- Gutting of bed allowed, bed skins OK.
- Interior gutting allowed.
- Race seats allowed.
- Any OEM or OEM replacement frame. Must retain two (2) stock cross members (unused brackets and cross members may be removed at the discretion of the builder)
- Any suspension allowed.
- Front and rear differentials, transmission and transfer case can be upgraded. No final drives or Unimog axles. (Any OEM or Aftermarket Enclosed Transfer Case allowed).
- Trans brakes allowed.
- Maximum 36" unaltered DOT tires only.
- Engine must be same type for truck.
- Any carburettor or OEM or after market injection system allowed.
- Naturally aspirated only
- Open Headers are allowed, NO upright headers allowed.
- Must have firewall between engine and driver.
- NO Nitrous, blowers or turbo permitted (unless OEM equipment)
- Must have adequate brakes to stop truck in an emergency situation.
Super Mod Street For Clash of the Carolinas Series ONLY!!
- Max tire size 38.5
- Mini trucks (Rangers, S-10, Jeep, Toyota, Suzuki) limited to small block (NO big blocks)
- Full sized trucks Big Block okay
- Major gutting of cab requires 8 point roll cage minimum
- OEM truck or jeep frame bumper to bumper
- Factory style Steering only (NO Full Hydraulic systems)
- Must have adequate brakes to stop in an emergency situation
- No cutting of firewall
- Must have floor in bed and if a flat bed is used it must cover the entire area equal to cab sides to full extension of frame to rear bumper
- Wheels must align with wheel wells
- OEM blocks (No aftermarket GM Performance, Ford Motorsport, Chrysler Performance, or the like allowed)
- NO turbo, Blowers, Nitrous with the exception of Diesel powered
- Headers Okay (Cannot be thru fender pointing directly at spectators unless 45* or larger deflector installed)
- No Methanol Alcohol (Pump or race gas only)
- Engine is required to match make of truck
- Single Carburetor or OEM fuel injection (NO aftermarket type allowed)
- Leaf spring or Leaf spring coil spring combos allowed (OEM STYLE)
- Leaf springs must be firmly attached at one end to the frame to prevent forward and rearward movement
- 4 corner coil springs not allowed
- Kill switch within reach of driver buckled up
- 4 point minimum harness required
- Helmet required
Leaf Spring Renegade DOT For Clash of the Carolinas Series ONLY!!
- Max tire size 54” Unaltered DOTs
- Must have adequate rollbar for design of vehicle
- Must have adequate brakes to stop in an emergency situation
- OEM Type Lift Kits Okay
- Leaf Spring / Coil Spring Only (2 leaf’s per leaf Pack minimum)
- OEM Frame (Jeep, Truck, or the “like”) Forget about ATV or Lawn Mower Frames
- Any automotive engine allowed
- Headers/Zoomies allowed (None allowed to point toward spectators with 45* or larger deflector)
- No Blowers, Turbo, or Nitromethane (Nitrous OK)
- Kill switch in reach of driver while buckled in
- Fire suit and helmet required
- Fire extinguisher within reach of driver while buckled in
Open Modified DOT For Clash of the Carolinas Series ONLY!!
- Max tire size 54” Unaltered DOTs
- Must have adequate rollbar for design of vehicle
- Must have adequate brakes to stop in an emergency situation
- Suspension - Any Type (Open)
- OEM Frame (Jeep, Truck, or the “like”) Forget about ATV or Lawn Mower Frames
- Any automotive engine allowed
- Headers/Zoomies allowed (None allowed to point toward spectators with 45* or larger deflector)
- No Blowers, Turbo, or Nitromethane (Nitrous OK)
- Kill switch in reach of driver while buckled in
- Fire suit and helmet required
- Fire extinguisher within reach of driver while buckled in
Class 6 (Unlimited) For Clash of the Carolinas Series ONLY!!
- Must be 4 wheel drive.
- Any frame and suspension allowed
- Any engine, transmission combination allowed.
- Any power adders allowed.
- Any tire combination allowed.
- Any fuel allowed
- 90 degree deflector required on any aircraft engine.
- Must have adequate brakes to stop truck in an emergency situation.
- Fire suit and helmet required
- Must have adequate rollbar for the truck to prevent injury to driver
FEES AND PAY OUT
- NOTE- Payouts for the series will be at each race
- 4/6 cylinder-ENTRY FEE :$50.00 PAYOUT: 1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $200, 4th $100, 5th $50.
- Mod Street-ENTRY FEE :$50.00 PAYOUT: 1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $200, 4th $100, 5th $50.
- Renegade DOT-ENTRY FEE :$50.00 PAYOUT: 1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $200, 4th $100, 5th $50.
- Open Modified DOT-ENTRY FEE :$50.00 PAYOUT: 1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $200, 4th $100, 5th $50
- Unlimited-ENTRY FEE :$100.00 PAYOUT: $1500 1st, $1000 2nd, $500 3rd, $350 4th, $250 5th
- Championship pays out 1.5 X the normal race place
We will pay back positions for every 2 trucks entered in the class.
Example: If there are 3 trucks in one class, 1 position will be paid back.
Example: If there are 3 trucks in one class, 1 position will be paid back.
